How to configure your email address with email applications

Updated 02/07/2021

You may wish to add your new email address to an email application such as Microsoft Outlook, Windows 10 Mail, MacOS Mail, iOS Mail or Samsung Email, among others.

While the process somewhat differs between applications, they will likely ask for the same pieces of information.

Step 1 Add a new email account to your device

Please select what email application you are using to see how to add a new account to it...

Step 2 Enter basic information

If you are asked for any of the information below, please enter it as such...

  • Account Type: Other or SMTP/IMAP.
  • Account Description: Anything you like (only you will see this).
  • Account Name: Your name or business name (this will be shown to people who you send emails to).
  • Email Address or Username: Your email address (you may be asked for this in the next steps).
  • Password: Your provided password (you may be asked for this in the next steps).
Step 3 Enter IMAP (incoming) server information

You may be asked for some server information, even if it says "optional", it is all compulsory in this case...

  • Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com where "yourdomain.com" is your domain name.
  • Port: 993
Step 4 Enter SMTP (outgoing) server information

You may be asked for some server information, even if it says "optional", it is all compulsory in this case...

  • Hostname: mail.yourdomain.com where "yourdomain.com" is your domain name.
  • Port: 465
Step 5 Other details you may be asked for

If you are asked about authentication at any stage, please make sure Password authentication is enabled and SSL/TLS is set as the type.
